Do you take insurance?
No. Moss and Meadow Counseling is private-pay only. We do not accept insurance and do not bill out of network (OON). We cannot determine or advise clients on their out of network reimbursement rate, or guarantee reimbursement.
This is an intentional choice. Here, your care is guided entirely by what you need to heal, not by arbitrary session limits or restrictions set by an insurance corporation. Paying out-of-pocket also increases confidentiality. Your mental health diagnoses and session notes stay private and are never shared with an insurance company. If session fees are a barrier, please see below for payment support options.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major debit and credit cards, and HSA/FSA cards, and can provide invoices upon and on request. Payments are handled through the client protal.
Do you offer a sliding-scale?
Moss and Meadow Counseling offers a limited number of sliding scale sessions at a reduced rate. Sliding scale sessions are based on availability and financial need and re-evaluated on a quarterly basis. If cost is a barrier to services, please ask about sliding scale openings.
What does it cost to get a GAS letter?
Gender affirming care is life saving. To decrease financial barriers for the transgender and GNC community, rates for letter writing sessions are a pay-what-you-can model. During the intake process you will be given the option to choose whatever rate you can comfortably afford $0 to $135.
How do I book a 15-minute consultation?
You can reach out to schedule by sending an email to tasmin@mossandmeadowcounseling.com, by leaving a voicemail at (360) 836-0368, or by heading to the “Contact” page and submit a contact form. Inquiries are typically responded to within 48 hours.
What happens during a consultation call?
Consultation calls are 15-minute video chats meant to help us decide if we’re a good fir for each other. I’ll ask some questions to better understand what’s bringing you to therapy right now, what your needs are, and what you’re hoping for. This is also your space to ask me anything you want to about who I am and what therapy with me is like.
If it turns out I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy provide referrals to therapists that better align with your goals, needs, and preferences.
